Bio

Dr. Sarkis began her career as a board-certified Family Medicine physician over thirty years ago and quickly expanded her practice to include the sub-specialty of Geriatrics. Over twenty years ago, Dr. Sarkis recognized that the pharmaceutical industry had corrupted traditional medicine. Creating cures was not as profitable as simply treating symptoms, which became the profitable focus of big pharma. As a result, helping patients recover became increasingly complex. Therefore, Dr. Sarkis embarked on a quest to discover alternatives and enhancements to modern medicine. This led her to explore Integrative, Functional, and Regenerative Medicine, where the emphasis is on preventing disease and addressing its root causes, rather than just treating or masking symptoms as the disease worsens. Very rarely does a one-size-fits-all approach work. Each person usually needs a personalized, precision medicine approach. This approach also involves exploring advanced treatments that aim for more than just symptom relief.

Family Medicine

Family Medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive, continuous, and coordinated healthcare for people of all ages—from newborns to seniors. It emphasizes:

  • Whole-person care across all organ systems, genders, and age groups
  • Management of acute, chronic, and preventive health needs
  • A long-term therapeutic relationship with patients and their families
  • Integration of biomedical, behavioral, and social sciences into care
  • A focus on continuity, meaning one provider often cares for the same individual over time

Family physicians are often considered the frontline of the healthcare system, serving as both first contact and ongoing partners in health.

Functional Medicine

Functional Medicine is a patient-centered, science-based approach to healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of disease, rather than just treating symptoms.

It emphasizes:

  • A systems biology view of the body, recognizing how organs and processes are interconnected
  • Personalized care based on genetics, lifestyle, environment, and nutrition
  • Collaborative partnerships between patients and practitioners
  • Use of nutrition, lifestyle changes, supplements, and sometimes conventional medicine to restore optimal function

Functional medicine is especially useful for managing chronic conditions like autoimmune diseases, metabolic disorders, and inflammatory syndromes—where conventional medicine may fall short.

Longevity Aesthetics

Longevity Aesthetics is a modern, science-driven approach to beauty that blends aesthetic medicine with longevity science. Rather than focusing solely on wrinkle reduction or cosmetic enhancement, it aims to optimize skin and tissue health at the cellular level—supporting both appearance and long-term vitality.

🌿 Core Principles

  • Preventive & regenerative: Targets early signs of aging before they become visible.
  • Root-cause focus: Addresses biological aging processes like inflammation, oxidative stress, and collagen loss.
  • Personalized care: Uses diagnostics (e.g., hormone panels, genetic testing) to tailor treatments.
  • Holistic integration: Combines skincare, nutrition, hormone optimization, and advanced therapies.

💉 Common Therapies

  • Non and minimally invasive treatments: Laser resurfacing, microneedling, red light therapy
  • Regenerative tools: PRP, topical exosomes, peptides, NAD+ infusions
  • Lifestyle optimization: Sleep, stress, and nutrition coaching to support skin longevity

Bio-Identical Hormones

Bioidentical hormones are lab-processed compounds designed to be chemically identical to the hormones naturally produced by the human body—primarily estrogen, progesterone, thyroid hormone, and testosterone. In clinical settings, they are used as part of hormone replacement therapy (HRT) to treat individuals with hormonal imbalances or deficiencies, especially during menopause, perimenopause, and andropause.

🏥 Clinical Applications

  • Menopause & Perimenopause: Alleviate symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, and sleep disturbances.
  • Andropause (male hormone decline): Improve libido, energy, muscle mass, and mood.
  • Thyroid dysfunction: Occasionally used alongside thyroid hormone therapy.
  • Premature ovarian insufficiency or surgical menopause: Restore hormonal balance in younger women.
